Chinese menswear designer Ruojing Wang is heavily influenced by travel, film and principles of traditional menswear tailoring. The collection “Anesthetized” is a study of Alfred Hitchcock’s film Vertigo and Chris Marker’s documentary Sans Soleil. The garments are comprised of different forms(flannel, twill, jersey knit, roving) of wool and cashmere, as well as solid and printed cotton poplin. Grey, black, navy and red that are seen in traditional tailoring are broken by vibrant pops of pink, citron, cobalt and orange.

The two collections, “Ukiyoe” for menswear and “Commensalism” for womenswear stood out among the rest, with an avantegarde, incredibly abstract collection. London-based designer Shuai Zeng was inspired by Chinese art. Tailored jackets were created to pop dimensionally and express that the objects live in one body. An explosion of seafoam green, canary yellow, with white and nude, sashayed down the runway.
