The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) meets the needs of farmers’ and ranchers’, promotes agricultural trade and production, ensures food safety, protects natural resources, fosters rural communities, and works to end hunger in the United States.
In efforts to end hunger, a large portion of the USDA’s $141 billion budget goes to food programs for those in need.
