After years of uncertainty for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA, the Supreme Court has protected the DACA program from dismantle and USCIS is following court instruction to receive new applications once again.

Applicants for DACA must have arrived in the U.S. before they turned 16 and must have lived in the United States since June 15, 2007. Applicants could not have been over the age of 30 before 2012, when the Department of Homeland Security enacted the policy.

All DACA applicants must provide evidence that they were living in the United States at certain times and must also provide proof of High School diploma or GED, confirmation of identity, as well as pass background, fingerprint and other biometric checks.

Current DACA recipients are also able to use Davis & Associates’ services to apply for Advanced Parole. Advanced Parole allows recipients to travel internationally and return to the U.S. without any other government document or visa. Advanced Parole is being granted only in circumstances such as humanitarian purposes, to visit an ill close relative, or for educational or employment purposes.
