This Woman Is On A Mission To Spread Positive News To Help Combat Suicide And Depression
Aldwyn Altuney is a veteran photojournalist and media personality whose career spans an incredible 39 years across radio, television, print and online media outlets.
In the industry, she has earned herself the nickname ‘Media Queen’ in recognition of her tireless efforts to promote truth, good news and animal welfare.
Aldwyn hosts Media Queen TV on YouTubeTM, and for three years co-hosted the TechwebcastTM, podcast which has been downloaded over one million times since its launch 9 years ago.
A Sydney native who moved to the Gold Coast in 2000, Aldwyn runs AA Xpose Media which offers public relations, photography services, videography services and even an international training program called Mass Media Mastery. An advocate of animal welfare, awareness and appreciation, Aldwyn launched the world’s first Animal Action Day in 2007.
As if all these accomplishments weren’t enough already, Aldwyn has also been featured in multiple inspirational compilation books (many of them international bestsellers) throughout her illustrious career – not bad for someone who was first interviewed at age 10 by The Manly Daily in Sydney due to her #1 ranking as an Australian junior table tennis player!
Over time, she’s managed to interview many other famous people too including Charlie Sheen, Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Cyndi Lauper, among others.
Aldwyn is now on a mission to spread more positive news around the world to boost morale and decrease depression and suicide rates as much as possible. She has had 4 friends take their own lives by the age of 45 due to depression, so this is a mission that’s close to her heart.
With that goal in mind, she started an annual global Good News Day on August 8, 2018, as well as a monthly Global Good News Challenge which was launched in June 2020.
It doesn’t stop there either; Aldwyn has also organized Meetup groups such as Mass Media Tribe and The Gold Coast Business Laughter Club since 2018 with great success.
