Dr. Meleeka Clary Selected as Top Clinical Psychologist of the Year by IAOTP
Dr. Meleeka Clary, World Renowned Psychologist and TV personnel, was recently selected as Top Clinical Psychologist of the Year for 2023 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for her outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to the industry.
Inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself; only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, longevity in the field, other affiliations, and contributions to their communities. All Honorees are invited to attend the IAOTP annual award gala at the end of this year for a night to honor their achievements.
With more than two decades of professional experience in multiple industries, Dr. Clary has certainly proven herself a seasoned and trusted mental health expert at HMWP Psychology Counseling in Carmel, Indiana. With a focus on providing care for those with cognitive disabilities, she endeavors to facilitate the acquisition of good communication skills within a secure and therapeutic environment. Dr. Clary engages in collaborative efforts with other psychotherapists and psychologists to address a diverse array of mental health issues. Her areas of expertise include but are not limited to: anxiety, grief, rage, trauma, and self-destructive mood patterns. In addition, she devotes her time to the tasks of composing and evaluating notes, conducting patient diagnoses, and scheduling. In order to stay informed and up-to-date, Dr. Clary maintains an active membership in the American Psychological Association.
Her impressive repertoire of prior roles have included but also not limited to: Dr. Clary held the position of counselor at Meaningful Days Services in Indianapolis, as well as at Inn Transition Shelter in Peabody, Massachusetts, and Hilderbrand Shelter in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She taught at Ivy Tech Institute, ITT Technical Institute, Lincoln Tech Career Institute, and Premier Education Group from 2005 to 2013. Other positions she has held were working as a paralegal at the William/Rangulong Law Office in Malden, Massachusetts, serving as an administrative assistant and billing clerk at Boston Medical Hospital, and working as an office manager at Alternative Solutions in Boston.
Before embarking on her career path, Dr. Clary attended Curry College, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice in the year 2000. Subsequently, she pursued more academic endeavors and completed a Master of Arts degree in criminal justice in 2004. Initially, her employment aspirations were focused on the legal field. To further her professional development, she successfully completed a paralegal certificate program at Northeastern University. Additionally, she obtained certifications in criminal law, business, and law from Newbury College. Dr. Clary redirected her research efforts towards the field of mental health, attributing her own experience with mental health as the driving force for her desire to assist others in their own journeys. In 2021, Dr. Clary completed her Doctor of Philosophy degree in the field of clinical psychology from Walden University.
Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Meleeka Clary has received many awards and accolades and has been recognized worldwide for her accomplishments. This year, she will be considered for the Empowered Woman Award and will be featured in TIP (Top Industry Professionals) Magazine. She will be honored at IAOTP’s annual awards gala at the NYC Plaza Hotel this December for her selection as Top Clinical Psychologist of the Year.
In addition to her successful career, Dr. Clary has achieved significant success within the arts and entertainment business over an extensive period of time. She has exceptional skills in acting, directing, and writing and has contributed her expertise to renowned organizations such as Dynasty Inc. and Next Entertainment. Additionally, she had appearances in other television programs, such as “Greenleaf,” “Nashville,” and “The Resident.” Similarly, in 2018, Dr. Clary undertook the roles of writer, director, and actor in her self-produced film titled “Three Corners of Deception.” This cinematic work portrays the narrative of a law professor at a university who has a romantic entanglement with an attorney over the course of a Memorial Day weekend in Las Vegas. Significantly, she has garnered accolades at many esteemed film festivals, such as the Toronto International Women Film Festival, Royal Wolf Film Awards, and Dreamz Catcher International Film Festival. Currently, she is engaged in activities affiliated with John Casablancas Centers.
